A Field Guide to
the Star Stuff You're Made Of

Eight elements essential to your body, traced to where the universe forged them. A periodic table read as autobiography — every atom a receipt from a star, or from something a star did when it died.

How to use this guide Each entry gives the element, where in the cosmos it was forged, the work it does in you, key atomic and bodily data, and full field notes. Click any entry to open its notes.
On origins Where an element comes from is not trivia — it is your provenance. Hydrogen is from the Big Bang itself; everything heavier was cooked inside stars or flung out when they died. You are a record of stellar events.
On the diagrams Each diagram is the atom itself — a nucleus ringed by its real electron shells. The heavier the element, the busier the sky around it, and the rarer the event that made it.
